The Red Star Line was an ocean passenger line founded in 1871 as a joint venture between the International Navigation Company of Philadelphia, which also ran the American Line, and the Société Anonyme de Navigation Belgo-Américaine of Antwerp, Belgium. The company's main ports of call were Antwerpin Belgium, Liverpool and Southampton in the United Kingdom and New York City and Philadelphia in the United States.

The main focuses of the museum are the travel stories that could be retrieved through relatives of Red Star Line passengers. In the exhibition the visitor follows the land movers' tracks from the travel agency in Warschau until their arrival in New York.

Exploring the history of the world famous print company which was founded in the 16th century. The Plantin-Moretus Museum is a nominated UNESCO World Heritage Site and possess an exceptional collection of works including the very first Atlas and newspapers from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Located approximately 1.8km from the hotel (about 20 min walk) in the Vrijdagmarkt.
Cathedral of Our Lady

One of the finest Gothic buildings in Europe, the cathedral spire rises to 123 metres and is the tallest in the Benelux. Famous as much for its art treasures as its magnificent architecture, most notably it is home to three large paintings by Rubens: Descent from the Cross (1612), Raising of the Cross (1610) and the Resurrection of Christ (1612).
During your trip to Antwerp you will pass through the Grote Markt. This amazing square in the heart of the old town features the City Hall, tourism information office, the Guild Halls and many cafes and restaurants.
